WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BECOME A NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR (ND)?

NATUROPATHIC DOCTORS (NDs). . .

emphasize disease prevention, wellness promotion, and identifying the underlying causes of disease.

NDs. . .

are primary care physicians who have attended a four-year naturopathic medical school, are clinically trained, and work in all aspects of family health — from pediatric to geriatric care.

ND STUDENTS. . .

intern in clinical settings, gain at least 1,200 patient contact hours under the close supervision of licensed clinical faculty, and benefit from rigorous curriculum in the same biomedical sciences as a medical doctor (MD).

NATUROPATHIC THERAPIES. . .

include clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, psychology, physical medicine, and other holistic therapies as supported by evidence-based research drawn from peer-reviewed journals across many disciplines.
