Preparing for your campus tour


Don't be afraid to ask questions!

We want you to have the information you need to make the best decision for you. Here are some recommendations for questions to ask your tour guide. 

  • What's the class size at Bastyr?
  • What are some good hangout spots on and off campus for current students?
  • Does it really rain in Seattle all the time?
  • What kind of campus traditions and celebrations happen at Bastyr? 
  • What kind of amenities are offered to students?
  • What kinds of housing arrangements are common for students in the area?
  • What's your favorite spot on campus?
  • Are there quiet study areas available?

COVID-19 Visitor Guidelines

All visitors who are traveling from out of state/country should follow our travel and quarantine guidelines. You can find Bastyr's travel restriction guidelines here. (These are subject to change as the CDC continues to update their recommendations.)

 

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 please do not enter the building.

All visitors need to follow our posted restrictions to not enter the building if they have experienced new onset of one or more of the following symptoms:

  • cough
  • fever
  • shortness of breath
  • nausea
  • diarrhea
  • fatigue
  • lack or loss of appetite
  • loss or decreased sense of smell
  • persistent headache
  • sore or achy muscles

While on campus, here are some ways that you can get a fuller experience.

Meet with an advisor.
Call 425-602-3332 or email admissions@bastyr.edu to schedule an appointment with one of our Admissions advisors and/or Financial Aid advisors to get your questions about Bastyr and our programs answered. 

Walk the reflexology path.
Bastyr has the first public reflexology path in North America. 

Hike down to Lake Washington. 
Check out St. Edward State Park by hiking through an old-growth forest to a small beach on Lake Washington. Other amenities in the park include a newly opened bar and restaurant, community parks, and amazing mushroom foraging opportunities.

Garden Tour

The Gardens are always available for a self-guided tour. There are over 250 western and Chinese herbs in the herbal gardens, several types of vegetables in the nutrition garden, and approximately 60 varieties of native plants along the Sacred Seed trail.

Feel free to visit, browse and explore on your own any time. (Please note: Some medicinal plants can be toxic, so we ask that you not touch or taste anything in the garden. Please respect all the garden specimens, and keep children and pets from touching, tasting or disturbing the plants).

The Bastyr teaching clinic at our San Diego campus is just steps from the classroom. Tour the clinic to see what kind of services are offered and what your clinical learning environment might look like. 

Hike down to Los Penasquitos Canyon Reserve
Our campus borders the Los Penasquitos Canyon Reserve, offering students access to more than 4,000 acres of hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
