Dr. Erica Joseph is a board-certified naturopathic oncologist (FABNO) practicing at Seattle Integrative Oncology (SIO), where she additionally completed a two-year oncology-based residency training program. She received her doctorate in naturopathic medicine ('14), a master’s degree in acupuncture ('14), and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology ('09) from Bastyr University.
Dr. Joseph currently sees patients in two hospital-based locations, including the Providence Regional Cancer System in Olympia and Providence Regional Cancer Partnership in Everett, where she is part of and helps lead the integrative cancer care teams. Seattle Integrative Oncology proudly provides one of the few naturopathic oncology residencies in the Pacific Northwest and we are passionate about training the next generation of naturopathic oncologists.
While Dr. Joseph specializes in integrative cancer care, she is also a licensed acupuncturist, and frequently uses these skills to aid patients in managing side effects both during and after cancer treatment. Outside of her practice, Dr. Joseph is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Alternative and Complimentary Medicine (JACM). She has served as the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP) Vice President since 2019.
She has also participated on the conference content committee for the OncANP since 2017, and is active within the naturopathic medicine community in Washington State. She has provided numerous presentations to support groups for clinics and organizations in the Puget Sound region, including Cancer Lifeline, Swedish Cancer Institute, Kaiser and the University of Washington Medical Center. She has additionally spoken on topics related to integrative cancer care for the Puget Sound Oncology Nursing Society and grand rounds for Providence Hospital, as well as lectured at the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians (WANP) annual conference.
