Every Thursday Bastyr will be featuring one of our amazing alumni in a virtual meet-and-greet. Hear Stephanie's story and learn about different career paths in Integrated Human Biology.
Hosted through Zoom Meetings so you can join from the comfort of your home.
Stephanie began working in healthcare in 2007 as a Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist. In 2014 she was admitted to Bastyr's Integrated Human Biology program, and graduated with her BS in 2016.
The following year, Stephanie was accepted to Rush University's graduate program in Medical Laboratory Science, in Chicago, IL. Her master's thesis focussed on molecular diagnostic assays to aid in the early detection of colorectal cancer, and her research poster placed 2nd in the university's poster symposium.
After returning to Seattle, WA, Stephanie now works in the Immunogenetics/Human Leukocyte Antigen lab at BloodWorks Northwest, a specialty lab for patients who need, or have received solid organ transplants.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening, yoga and listening to books on Audible.
