Acupuncture Doctorate Degrees
The Doctor of Acupuncture (DAc) and Doctor of Acupuncture Completion programs at Bastyr foster collaborative interactions between east Asian medicine practitioners and other healthcare practitioners. Building on the knowledge and experience gained in a Master of Acupuncture program, the DAc at Bastyr is designed to train acupuncturists to the highest level of competency in an entry-level degree.
Doctor of Acupuncture (DAc)
The DAc at Bastyr allows students to deepen their understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and gain advanced skills in diagnostic studies and collaborative and integrative care, as well as research literacy and professional development. The program includes robust clinical training at both our teaching clinic, Bastyr Center for Natural Health, and our off-site community care clinics. Prospective students must have at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate institution.
Students interested in this entry-level professional doctoral program will need to apply to either of the master's level programs (MAc or MAcCHM) to get started. They will then be co-enrolled in the doctoral program (no need to apply again!) in order to meet all of the master's and doctoral-level competencies required for licensure.
